NURSERY:

Sundays 9:30 AM-11:30 PM:  (adjacent to Parish Hall)

Children between 6 weeks and 4 years old are welcomed to play in the nursery.

The nursery is attended by two paid workers and volunteers.  All have been trained in the church’s Safeguarding God’s Children program.  Our nursery is a fun and safe place for children to play and begin learning about God’s love for them.

CHILDREN'S CHAPEL & SUNDAY SCHOOL:

Children's Chapel (ages 3-8) during 10:30am worship

During Children's Chapel the children will participate in the Godly Play curriculum (see description below) Children then join their families at the passing of the Peace.

What is Godly Play? Godly Play is a way for children to experience the presence of a loving God.  It is based on the Montessori Method.  We tell Bible stories to children to help them enter the stories and relate them to their personal experiences.  We want children to see themselves as a spiritual being and create a safe space for them to explore their faith.  We also help to model how to be an active participant in a faith community.   The goals are: to have a quiet, clean, and organized physical space; to be a place for prayer and learning; and to respect child's ideas, opinions, and gifts.

If you would like to volunteer at the nursery, see the following document. (Document: Nursery Worker Job Description)
