Ascension has an on-going mission to the Parish of St. Basils in Gonnaives,
Haiti as well as their mission church, St. Matthews, in Bayonnais. The
mission with our sister parish includes prayer, support, helping with
teachers salaries and other financial needs. We send mission teams to
Gonnaives approximately once a year to provide medical treatment and to
support the church and its school, L'Ecole du Redemption. Each spring
half of our annual bike-a-thon proceeds support scholarships for L'Ecole
du Redemption students.

L'Ecole du Redemption is open to any child in Gonaives, but most families cannot afford the school fees (there is virtually no public education available in Haiti). Your sponsorship will help educate a child between the ages of 3 and 15 in French, math, writing, reading, religion and social studies. Your sponsorship also provides a daily school lunch which is often the child's only nutritious meal. You will have a chance to get to know one of these children through their correspondence with you. You will make a difference in their daily and future lives. Please take this opportunity to share your encouragement and love with one or more of these courageous children.

e-mail, phone and the number of students you would like to sponsor along
