About Ascension

This Community is YOU!

Ascension and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, located in the Old Historic Northside of Pueblo, is YOUR neighborhood church. For over 125 years, people have gathered in a tradition of faith and worship to support the spiritual needs of families, children, and the entire community.
As a multi-generational church, at Ascension we celebrate the presence of God in our world and welcome people of all backgrounds, lifestyles, and spiritual needs. With a spirit of generosity and gratitude, we welcome you to join in our many fellowship activities.

As a loyal, welcoming Christian community, we gather for Sunday services and many other times throughout the week to feed the spiritual needs of everyone who joins us. Our mission is to engage all people in the wonder of our liturgy, holy scripture, and communion, to restore us to unity with God and each other. Let us join in celebration of written scripture and the love of God through prayer, music, and singing—in the many activities offered for you and your family.

Father Steve preaching

Ascension is so pleased to welcome Father Steve Karcher and his wife Dana to our Parish.

Jesus was the ultimate servant, and servanthood informs my priestly work. A committed, visionary, entrepreneurial and engaged priest, and member of the Episcopal community, I’ve been blessed with a lifelong vocation to the priesthood.

Said to be a gifted speaker, I strive to be a faithful scholar, and an organized, patient leader, dedicated to conveying joy and meaning to church members and to the community at large. I enjoy working with all sorts of people, focussing on outreach, and spiritual prosperity. I’m passionate about working in and with diverse populations, and any persons in need
